Hi Miguel,

I agree with Yogani, that you should see a doctor about the paralysis. You may well be right though, this could be connected with your yoga practices. I had involuntary muscle spasms on my face for several years, but nothing too serious.

What you will probably find when you see the doctor is that he/ she will tell you that you have a medical problem. This is because for most doctors, all physical problems are medical problems. In their book, there is usually no such thing as a spiritually related problem. So they will treat you for a medical problem regardless of the actual cause.

This is something that I have had to work with for many years now (and I have experienced many of the symptoms that you have described in your first post above). When to go to a doctor, and what to do with the advice they give is a much more complex issue than for someone not working with yoga at the level that you are.

I did not see a doctor about the facial muscle spasms that I had, and found that it cleared up in the end of it's own accord once the purification work moved on to other areas.

Good luck with it all.

Hi Miguel....

I don't know about paralysis, but like Christi, I too have involuntary muscle movements in my face fairly regularly.  What I find is that my right eyebrow is an early indicator of spontaneous kriyas approaching.  Usually my right eyebrow starts getting noticable twitches right before I start getting spontaneous kriyas.  If I notice the eyebrow early enough and stop whatever practice I am doing I will not usually have the kriyas.  I agree with both Christi and Yogani though, you should get checked by a doctor just to make sure.  Good luck my friend.

Love,
Carson[^]

Thank you very much Christi and Carson.Your answers are very much appreciated here.[:)]
Im going to the doctor now.Im begining to feel anesthia feelings in the right side of my face.I looked via internet and it could be an herpes.I read some information andI have clear shymptoms of it.My ancle has told me few minutes ago that she had this herpes some time ago.And its very uncomfortable.
Also,i had a strange red area besides my mouth.Hummm....
But im really surprised, its conected with the last days pressures and heat in my head.Maybe it wasnt a "yogic" opening?was  it the begining of an herpes? maybe yogic opening and herpes as part of purification progress? i dont know.God knows.im gonna to the doctor inmediatly.
Thank you very much guys.[:)]

Hi ,
Now returned from seeing the doctor. And i have a virus in the nerves inside my head that is the cause of "periferic facial paralisis".I have to to be under treatment one month more or less.
I explained the doctor about the pressure in the head the days before paralisis.I asked him if it was the begining of the virus...and he answered me that yes,it was a previous phase.
Now im under medical medication,no dangerous situation, under control...and one month more or less fighting with this lower being inside my head.
Thank you very much for helping me.i dont know if its part of my purufication.Who knows...

HI,
This morning i saw the doctor again. He was an ear specialist ( it seems that ear is related to this physical problem also).
He told me i have a nerve inflamed, back of my head, near the node, and its the cause of facial paralisis.
He told me it happens sometimes, few people, and it doesnt have any clearly specific cause.I could be multiple factor, but no fixed factors. They cant discover the causes of this problem. They only know how to heal it with pills,He told me..
He prescibed me an anti-inlfammatory,and im taking it now.Told me this inlfamation is uncomfortable and last one or two months.
I think maybe it could be related to purification.I feel a spot back of my heat, and due to my hability to feel the energy inside my body (since 2006 working with reiki,yoga..) i clearly feel lot of heat-energy around that spot, trying to pass to the top of my head, but its blocked.
The days before this stuff,i had pressure at some spots of my hed.One day, after writing in this forum a post venting my anger, the pressure clearly decreased...who knows whats happening inside...
Time will clear it up.[:)]
Thanks for the support.

Hi Miguel,

Sounds like you are getting some good medical help.

Just to mention two things: Firstly, the spot on the back of your head that is activating is the occipital nerve centre. It is an important minor chakra (some would say it is the back end of the ajna chakra). The energy does not need to flow from there to the top of your head, it only needs to become active where it is.

Secondly, when the higher centres are activating it will draw large amounts of kundalini up through your system, activating lower chakras en-route as it flows through them. The anger you experienced is caused by releases in your lower chakras. It will pass, but could go on for some time yet. When that part of the process completes itself you will never feel anger again, only love and compassion.

Expressing the anger is a good way to realease the energy and to help to clear any blockages there. But there is no need to express it to anyone... and in fact that can be counter productive. Of course (as Katrine said) it is fine (and good) to share it here with us. Many here have been through it.

Good luck with it all.

Oh yeah,it sounds wonderful!

And yes,i know,i dont express my anger in all the situations...but in ayp forums i feel comfortable  doing it and i can find big support![:)]and i see others express here n ayp their feelings  very often, and i like it.We are like an "ayp family"[:D]

All the best Christi.Thank you very much[:)]

Hi Miguel,

Here is a picture of how the occipital centre fits in spiritually with the rest of the spiritual anatomy in the head:

http://www.paranormal.de/ballabene/chakra/chtheogif/kopfgegch.gif

So root to brow spinal breathing will activate this centre on the back of the head by proxi as the brow centre (front of ajna) is activated. In my own case it happened after the crown started to open.

Wow,i thought back side of ajna chakra was at the same height that ajna chakra, but it seems its in a lower area than front side of the chakra. This chakra does a very steep slope.Wow..
I forgot to say that i feel this phase im going trought now,is related to spinal breathing pranayama.I have been doing it for a month. And i feel it is asocciated.Only a feeling,an intuition...
Thanks for the support christi.[:)]
