    Hello all,

I'd like to get a few ideas about the actual dangers one can expect
when performing Samavrtti (or possibly Visamavrtti once I feel I've
mastered the former) without a guru. I've read numerous places that
it's very dangerous to do so and as much more so with Visamavrtti.
However, they don't go into detail on what the actual dangers are or
what the chances are that one might encounter these difficulties.
Now, I'm sure it's greatly dependent on the person and the degree of
caution (or lack thereof) that one exudes in their practices, but if I
could just get *some* idea based on some of your experiences it would
help me to formulate a decision as to whether to go ahead with
practice now or to wait until I'm back down in the Bay Area and can
seek out a guru there.

Thank you,

Greg M.
