when metabolism slowing down

Hello,

I was just wondering about when our metabolism starts slowing down in a healthy way through practices, does that mean that also body's own curing mechanism slowing as well? For example healing a pimple on our face would take longer than normal?

Actually when the metabolism and other vital processes slow down, the rate of healing increases.  This is why doctors sometimes medically induce comas in severely injured patients.
