Friends,

I thought it will be a good idea if we could post our timeline and
where we are currently at (which AYP practice and level of
progress). By timeline I mean when did you start, how much time did
u spend on each practice before you advanced to the next etc..

My Timeline & practices-

Currently I am doing pranayama, meditation, mulabandha, shambhavi,
asanas.

I started this Jan 11th sincerely. Earlier to that I did irregularly
off and on for a total of 1 month. When I started on Jan 11th I
started with both pranayama and meditation.

tantra masturbation - from Feb 16th
Mulabandha - from March 1st
sambhavi - from March 5th
asanas - from March 5th

I plan on continuing like this till I see some significant
experiences before I add siddhasana. Currently I can sense slight
spinal energy rushes during meditation. Also my meditation has
considerably become calmer and smoother when compared to beginning
stages. Outside also I am doing less work politics and being nice to
ppl. Anything physical is tough for me so asanas are kind of
difficult and boring but still I havent skipped even one session. I
am telling this because i read someone was skipping asanas (dont
remember the name of person). Let us do everything to reach our
goal. Good luck to all of you.

OK,
I started the AYP practices in june of 2004
I now do 15 minutes of pranayama with dynamic jalandhara in stage 3 kechari with internal breath retention and working on spinal breathing in siddhasana.I had been doing 2 decades of pranayama previous to this so the sitting pranayama was familiar but I added kechari and dynamic jalandhara slowly and steadily. Swithced from padmasana previously to siddhasana.
I follow this with 10-12 minutes of meditation with the first mantra enhancement (just started the first enhancement). I tried to do 15 minutes of the meditation following pranayama but found myself restless and backed it off to ten, now after ten has become comfortable I plan to lengthen to 15 minutes starting in April. This is also in the same Siddhasana posture as Pranayama and also in stage 3 kechari.

The pranayama and kechari has helped me tremendously in clearing upper body blockages in the neck/throat area and that area now feels much stroner and more balanced as does my posture in general.

I have also started Amaroli in the morning of 6-8 oz before brushing teeth. I have done this before in teh past but had discontinued it. This time it somehow feels more appropriate and seems to add to my well being but not in a well defined way. It does seem to reintroduce some prana or nurients or something that was lost as it makes me feel stronger.

So far very happy and enthusiastic about the practice and plan to do it indefinitely.

A good idea this.

I started AYP in August 2004 and have managed not to miss any
sessions yet.

I have added Spinal breathing,
Ujjayi,
Mulabandha,
Sambaavi, and
Siddhasana.

The full Siddhasana is still quite uncomfortable for me, so I only do
it once a day in the mornings when I first wake up. On the other
occasions I just use a rolled up cloth to try and gain the same
effect.
This is the best system I have yet found. Previously I was trying to
follow the work of Franz Bardon "initiation into Hermetics"
He tried to give the Western mystery tradition the same treatment as
Yogani gives advanced Yoga i.e. no frills, but there is still quite a
lot of padding.

I find Yogani's plain English approach wonderful and I intend to
practice it indefinitely.

Blessings R.C.
