Pamela,
I think it's a fairly uncontroversial part of what most people
classify as Ayurveda, yes.
>>Mahatma Gandhi believed urine-guzzling "purified his soul," and
Moraji Desai (India's Prime Minister from 1977-1979) proudly drank a
glass every morning until his death at age 99.
Here's a very good site for you:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Ithaca/9012/amaroli.htmIt's hard to know how it works. Is it hormesis (resistence-
stimulation through small doses of toxin), replacement of desirable
nutrients and/or hormones (yes there are hormones in you pee)? My
guess is "all of the above plus other stuff we don't know about"
But it definitely works.
