Hi,
Is there only one correct side to do Full Lotus? Or are both sides necessary?
Also, I've been doing Full lotus almost every day for over a year (both sides), and I still can't do it for over a few minutes at a time due to my ankles. Are there any recommended stretches for that?
Thanks!

Both sides are good. [:)]
It makes sense to alternate sides for balance.

The pigeon and butterfly poses are good hip openers. It may help to hold these postures for longer times with deep breathing.

If half lotus is comfortable to hold for longer times, during regular sitting activities, you could sit at home in half lotus, alternating legs, instead of the regular way of sitting on a chair. This way your legs will become used to it and full lotus may become easier to sit in for longer times.
