I have had a sharp pain there too, and nowhere else. It was off and on for years, and one of the last times it happened was during an extended meditation retreat where I also strange nightmares, I say strange because they seemed like someone else’s nightmares.
It was a vegetarian retreat, and we were eating a lot of cheese. I'm guessing the pain might have been related to a slight milk allergy. I've since cut back on milk products. The nightmares: I was around strangers and I'm guessing soaking up some of their karma.
No problem with in years.
