David Spero, enlightened spiritual master, published poet and author,
abides spontaneously in the "natural state" of sahaja samadhi,
manifesting Mother Shakti in all her manifold aspects. In his upcoming South Bay Enlightenment Gatherings and all-day Intensives (see schedule below), David communicates a powerful transmission of light (non-duality), feeling (devotional intoxication), and energy (kundalini-shakti),initiating the participants into the free and fiery energy of the Divine Beloved.
After twenty-two years of meditation including a total devotion to the Divine Goddess,
in the summer of 1995, he writes, "I remembered myself to be She
and She alone. It went back millions of years, it seemed. Not only was I with
Her in all those births, but I was She, birth after birth, always coming back
as the Divine Mother. It was excruciating! My body-mind broke down in
torrential sorrow Her sorrow, Her longing for the liberation of the whole
human race. . ."
"By summer of 1996, Mother Shakti had burned my sadhana into cool,
white ashes. . . I saw my Self everywhere. I lived in everything and
everything lived in Me. My spiritual seeking came to an end. . .
Nothing more remained to attain, in or out of meditation. I was That
and so was everything else." A year later the Goddess Kali manifested
in his daily life and basically took over every aspect of his being.
David's flexible spiritual approach usually offers no other
instructions than to become aware of one's primordial innocence.
"Innocence, inherently sublime, embraces the beginning and end of all
genuine spiritual endeavors," he states. Enlightenment cannot be
attained through effort. It happens spontaneously, through the grace of spiritual transmission. It happens for no reason at all. It is like
breathing the fragrance of a flower or beholding a beautiful sunset.
