the presence of light of the sun
the gift of warmth from its rays
the love of one moment when eyes connect
the inside feeling the outside in time and place

the gift of presence given to the one
when a heart replies in sincerity to another heart
to be present even in anothers need or pain
to give the gift of understanding

unwrap your gift layer by layer
underneath lies an eternal truth
bound only by the rope that looks like the snake
be present in giving, the gift is ours .
