Ananda: i am certain that most of the people who have read english books written about "Bhagavan"; "Sri Poonja"; "Lakshmana Swami"... must've read something written by the kind hearted presence which exists in the body of David Godman.

this interview is simply put "graceful[]", it's a good read if anyone is in the mood for some good food for self...

for people who write you'll love it, and for those who know the meaning of the words thank you God you'll... in loving acceptance...

Thank you, such unassuming clarity, simplicity.  The still small voice, so easily overlooked.

Loving is easy, but we are hardwired for difficult![]  A great ego seeks a great ordeal, a huge piece of theatre, as the price of its demise.  And so many paths offer this.  One has to be semi-transparent already to recognise and be attracted to Ramana's transparency.  Otherwise it will not satisfy the ego sufficiently to get started or to persevere.

I would alter, "self-inquiry and completely surrender to the Guru." <--The Essence Lineage practice appears in every cultural context.

Or, these simple truths, two basic paths - seek Self, or God - are at the heart of every religious tradition, beneath their diverse historically and culturally determined forms?

Direct attention 'inside' to the self and discover that it is empty/infinite.

Or direct attention 'outside' to the infinite and discover that it is your self.
