Asanas and pranayama

Hi Ag,

Some others might come forward with some specific asanas, but until then for overall routines, Rodney Yee is an excellent instructor and a variety of videos by him can be found here:

If you are being supervised by someone who can help you which I believe in another post you mentioned you were, then the AYP practices could be very helpful.

Please see Yogani's recommendations for serious mental health issues and AYP here:

If you then feel you want to do some daily meditation and pranayama practices you can read up on the AYP  method which is highly effective here:

deep meditation: http://www.aypsite.com/13.html

pranayama: http://www.aypsite.com/41.html

If it were me, I would start with just 10 minutes of Deep Meditation for some time prior to adding in pranayama. Be sure to rest for 5 to 10 minutes after meditating by just lying still. If you add in pranayama, if you feel stable after several months or longer of meditation then start with very little, perhaps 2 minutes and build up very slowly over time.

Proceed with caution and stay in close contact with your physician who perscribed the pranayama for you. Be sure not to do too much which can lead to excess emotional turbulence and to rest for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes after practice.

Best of luck to you,

A
