Great Kirtan / Yoga Overview on NPR
« on: May 27, 2007, 03:14:34 PM »

Grammy-Nominated Kirtan Wallah Jai Uttal interviewed on NPR (National Public Radio).

GREAT interview about how Kirtan helps Yoga practice and heart-opening, how music fits into devotional practice in general, how yoga is about so much more than pretzel-postures alone, and so on.

Jai is a great spokesdude for Yoga in general and Kirtan in particular.

Lots of great detail given in a short period of time about the value of mantra, group consciousness, etc. etc.

"Jai, Jai!"

He even has the interviewer chanting "Ram Ram Ram" ...!

Interview is 5 mins. long or so ... and you get to hear some cool 'merican / World clips of bhakti-based, bhakti-fueled Indian yogic devotional songs .... [8D]
