Hi guys :)

I?m practicing AYP since December 2017. Until now I build a constant routine consisting Asanas, Spinal Breathing and DM. I?m feeling more energetic than ever before and especially Spinal Breathing now is at a point where it does not feel clumsy anymore. It is enjoyable and I can feel some energies moving.

I think I?m ready to add a new practice now. What would be the next step? siddhasana?

Yes, you can go for siddhasanalesson 75 or you can start samyama (lesson 150). Other choices can be YMK (lesson 91) or chin pump. Ultimately, all rivers join the sea of unending bliss. Good luck!

Maybe up your pranayama: Bastrika (https://www.aypsite.com/171.html) or chin pump (https://www.aypsite.com/139.html). I'm assuming you already employ mulahbanda (https://www.aypsite.com/55.html), if not, then do first.

Another thing to explore is to practice ketchari 1 (https://www.aypsite.com/108.html).

Nice dedication so far! Keep on trucking!

HI Fabi

The order of the practices as presented in the lessons on this website, or in the AYP - Easy Lessons volumes, is a good guideline.

After Spinal Breathing, the next two practices are Mulabandha and Sambhavi. Siddhasana comes after that.

Enjoy your practice!

Hi fmyoga,

As BlueRC mentioned, the order given in the main lessons can be a useful guide. If someone was following the lessons through in order and adding the practices as they are given, then the order after adding Spinal Breathing Pranayama and asana practice would be:

Mulabandha (lesson 55)
Shambhavi mudra (lesson 56)
Siddhasana (lesson 75)
Yoni Mudra Kumbhaka (lesson 91)
Uddiyana bandha (lesson 91)
Kechari mudra (lesson 108)
Nauli (lesson 129)
Chin Pump (lesson 139)
Samyama (lesson 150)
Spinal Bastrika (lesson 171)
Crown practices (lesson 199)

However the order of adding practices is not critical. Some people are not drawn towards adding the mudras and bandhas, or sitting in siddhasana, but are drawn more towards adding samyama as their silence deepens, or adding the more advanced pranayamas. Even with the advanced pranayamas, some people can find that they are drawn more towards using one rather than another. So, it depends very much on the person and what feels right for you.
