Eadie, Betty -- Embraced by the Light -- 1992 -- A well-known detailed account of a near-death experience, with a profound spiritual message.
Evans-Wentz, WY -- Tibetan Book of the Dead -- 1927 -- The first translation of these written and oral Tibetan Buddhist teachings, conceived to serve as a guide not only for the dying and the dead, but for the living as well. And so they have.
Head and Cranston -- Reincarnation - An East-West Anthology -- 1961 -- Reviewing reincarnation in the world's religions, including scriptural quotes and essays. Also includes essays on reincarnation from hundreds of  prominent Western thinkers from many countries throughout our recorded history. This is an extensive work on the subject.
Kubler-Ross, Elizabeth -- On Death and Dying -- 1969 -- The classic book That examines the dying process as a natural event, and as an opportunity for spiritual growth. A breakthrough in our understanding of death and dying, spawning the entire death and dying movement - Hospice, etc. 
Levine, Stephen -- Who Dies? -- 1982 -- An investigation of conscious living and conscious dying. Case studies included.
Moody, Raymond -- Life After Life -- 1975 -- A classic study of near death experiences, including many case histories that reveal there is life after death. Moody documents the dying, post death process and return to life into identifiable steps: ineffability, hearing the news, feelings of peace and quiet, the noise, the dark tunnel, out of the body, meeting others, beings of light, the review, the border or limit, coming back, telling others, effects on lives, new views on death, corroboration...  
Muktananda, Swami -- Does Death Really Exist? -- 1981 -- Muktananda explores the nature of death and the meaning of immortality.
Narayanananda, Swami -- Life Behind Death -- 1980 -- An overview of life, death and reincarnation.
Newton, Michael -- Journey of Souls -- 1994 -- Case studies of life between lives - life in the spirit world remembered through past life regression hypnosis.
Prabhupada, Swami --  Beyond Birth and Death -- 1972 -- On life after death and liberation from the material planets.
