Post by: AYPforum on March 31, 2008, 06:37:17 AM
What is Trataka?
Trataka, a shatkarma (http://www.aypsite.com/plus-forum/index.php?topic=3520) technique, means steady gazing. It involves fixing the gaze on an object and leaving it there for a period of time. It purifies the inner machinery of attention, which in most of us is coming out through our eyes for most of our waking hours. Fixing the gaze, helps to loosen the grip of external experiences on the attention.
